Yes, that time of year is upon us! Some love it some hate it, but one thing we can all agree on is - its a great time for parties, socializing and lots of fun. We have a Dinosaur give-away, Santa photo-shoot's ( with a sign language signing santa), santa letters and more! So without further ado lets have a peak at what some of our members are up to over the Christmas period!
Alice in Dinoland has a fantastic xmas give away to win a build a bear Plesiosaur!
"We are planning to set up the Christmas display the weekend of the 13th/14th and get the yard open from Monday 15th onwards. I’ll post if a particular day won’t be on.
I think timing wise for people with young kids I’ll turn on and open the gate at 6pm (it will still be light but inflateables look cool) and close the gate at 10pm. I’ll have a dinosaur baby available to pat the first half an hour of each hour." - Alice in Dinoland
Periwinkle has been busy with these events this week The Christmas Fete at Leeston Fresh Choice( Wed&Thurs)- The Leeston Santa Parade (Fri)- The Rolleston Santa Parade (Sun)
Santa mail:
"From 4pm today outside Periwinkle, children can post their letters straight to the big jolly old fellow- in time for his Christmas delivery 🎅👍. We'll also be painting festive designs and giving out free boxes of jellybeans 🤗🎄. Come along and join in the Christmas Magic ⭐️💫🌟" - Periwinkle
Raewyn Murray Photography is runinng "My Santa"photo sessions. Santa is coming to New Brighton

Feeling so excited, proud, and a wee bit overwhelmed today! Seeing my crew and I on the front page is such a surreal moment. It wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible people around me. Thank you all for the effort, whimsical energy, magical vibes, and imaginative input you bring to everything we do.
One of the most heartwarming moments was walking down the street and hearing people cheering, “Let’s go HanAhrt, let’s go!” It made me feel so special. Being part of this community and the Christmas spirit here in Dunedin is truly incredible.
I’ve also added some screenshots of the amazing comments people left on Escapism Photos by L.A.D’s post of our float and crew. Reading them was so heartwarming, from squeals of joy, to giggling kids, to kind words from the community, it reminded me why I do what I do.
